California: WhatsApp is taking a leap forward in user convenience with the rollout of a smart new feature titled “Writing Help.” Currently being tested on the Android beta version, this tool is designed to assist users in composing, refining, and responding to messages more intelligently.
According to WABetaInfo, this AI-driven feature aims to make conversations smoother, faster, and more natural. Whether you’re struggling to find the right words, in a rush to reply, or simply want to polish your text — Writing Help provides real-time suggestions tailored to your intent.
What sets this feature apart from other AI assistants is its on-device intelligence. That means your message analysis and suggestions happen directly on your phone — no data leaves your device, ensuring better privacy and faster performance.
Users will receive multiple suggestions generated by the AI and can choose the one that best suits their tone or message. Importantly, the feature is optional and will remain disabled by default, giving users full control over its use.
At present, Writing Help is available only to a limited group of beta testers, and WhatsApp has not yet disclosed when it will be rolled out for all users.
