Security forces eliminate 30 Indian-sponsored terrorists in KP’s Orakzai: ISPR

Rawalpindi : Pakistani security forces have killed thirty militants, allegedly backed by India, who were involved in a recent terrorist attack in Orakzai District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the military’s media wing reported on Friday.

According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces have been conducting a series of retaliatory operations against those responsible for the deadly attack on October 7, which led to the martyrdom of several Pakistani soldiers, including Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Tariq and Major Tayyab Rahat.

The military statement noted that, based on credible intelligence, the operation targeted militants in the Jamal Maya area of Orakzai District. After intense gun battles, all thirty militants, referred to as “Indian-sponsored Khwarij,” were killed. These militants were directly involved in the terrorist attack earlier this month.

The ISPR added that these operations had avenged the tragic deaths of the fallen officers and brought the key perpetrators to justice.

The military also emphasized that further sanitization operations are underway to hunt down and eliminate any remaining Indian-backed militants in the region.

“The Pakistani security forces are resolute and determined to eradicate Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country,” the ISPR statement said.

In separate statements, both President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif lauded the success of the security forces’ anti-terrorism operations in Orakzai, praising their courage and commitment to defending the nation.

President Zardari expressed pride in the armed forces’ ability to dismantle the network of Indian-backed militants, calling it a demonstration of the nation’s resolve. He paid tribute to the martyred officers, saying, “The brave sons of the soil have made history by sacrificing their lives to protect the motherland.”

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the relentless efforts of the armed forces to protect Pakistan from hostile forces, often at great personal cost. He reaffirmed that the nation would never allow terrorists to succeed and vowed to continue the fight against terrorism until it is completely eradicated.

“We stand united with our armed forces, and their unwavering resolve will ensure the safety and security of the homeland,” PM Shehbaz added.

This operation marks another chapter in Pakistan’s ongoing struggle against terrorism and its commitment to maintaining national security.
