DG ISPR slams PTI founder’s ‘anti-army’ narrative, terms it as ‘national security threat’

Rawalpindi: Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry stated that the military always prioritizes Pakistan’s national security and defense interests. He warned that some individuals are spreading anti-state narratives for their personal interests, aiming to create a rift between the military and the public.

The DG ISPR referred to the founder of PTI as a “mentally ill” individual and stated that his narrative is against the country, being amplified by Indian, Afghan, and international media. He emphasized that the limits of freedom of expression are set where statements do not go against the state or the country.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry also revealed that under the National Action Plan, 13,270 operations have been carried out against terrorism, and provincial police have made significant sacrifices. He stressed that no one will be allowed to create a divide between the military and the public, and anti-state narratives will not be tolerated.
