US Says Its Forces Hit Nearly 200 Targets Inside Iran in 72 Hours

Washington/Tehran (Web Desk): Military tensions in the Gulf region have sharply intensified as the United States launched extensive airstrikes on Iranian territory over the past 72 hours.

According to the US Central Command (CENTCOM), nearly 200 strategic sites across Iran were targeted, with preliminary reports indicating at least 1,332 fatalities.

CENTCOM commander Admiral Brad Cooper revealed that B-2 stealth bombers were used to deploy bunker-buster bombs, destroying underground ballistic missile launchers and reducing Iran’s missile-launching capacity by an estimated 90% since the campaign began.

The strikes also reportedly sank more than 30 Iranian naval vessels, severely impairing Tehran’s maritime strength. US officials emphasized that these operations aim to eliminate potential threats and degrade Iran’s overall military infrastructure.

The next stage of the campaign is expected to focus on Iran’s missile production facilities, with the goal of preventing reconstruction of its missile arsenal and limiting long-term military capabilities.

US authorities described the offensive as part of a broader strategy to maintain regional security and deter future threats from Iran’s military programs.

The escalation has raised concerns internationally about the possibility of a wider conflict in the Middle East. While the full impact on civilians and Iran’s political situation is still unclear, the scale of destruction underscores the intensity of the ongoing military operations.
