Rawalpindi: Pakistan’s security forces have successfully neutralized 15 terrorists linked to Indian-backed groups, Fitna al-Khwarij and Fitna al-Hindustan, during separate operations conducted in Balochistan.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), an intelligence-led operation in Harnai District targeted a suspected militant hideout. During the encounter, 12 members of the Indian-supported Khwarij group were killed following intense gunfire exchanges.
In a second operation carried out in Basima District, security personnel tracked and confronted members of Fitna al-Hindustan. Three terrorists were eliminated after a fierce firefight, with weapons, ammunition, and explosives recovered from the scene.
The ISPR added that ongoing clearance operations are underway to ensure no remaining militants remain active in the area.
“The unwavering counter-terrorism campaign under the initiative Azm-e-Istehkam, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue relentlessly to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism from Pakistan,” the military’s media wing stated.
