Islamabad : Kuwait’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jabel Al-Sabah has expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts during a telephone conversation with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, according to the Foreign Office (FO).
The FO statement said the Kuwaiti foreign minister acknowledged Pakistan’s constructive role in hosting and facilitating the Islamabad Talks, noting that these efforts have positively contributed to ongoing diplomatic engagement.
He commended Pakistan’s involvement in supporting the dialogue process and appreciated the efforts of Ishaq Dar in this regard.
In response, Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s consistent stance in favor of dialogue and peaceful resolution of disputes, emphasizing that diplomatic engagement remains the only viable path forward.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to continued efforts for promoting dialogue-based solutions.
Both sides also reviewed bilateral relations and agreed to further strengthen cooperation, reaffirming the longstanding friendly ties between Pakistan and Kuwait and pledging to remain in close contact.
Separately, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar also held a telephone conversation with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand, during which they exchanged views on recent regional developments, including US–Iran talks linked to the Islamabad discussions.
According to the Foreign Office, the Canadian foreign minister appreciated Pakistan’s role in facilitating diplomatic engagement among relevant stakeholders.
Ishaq Dar stressed the importance of respecting ceasefire understandings and reiterated Pakistan’s support for dialogue and diplomacy.
Both ministers agreed to maintain close contact as the situation develops.
