Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday met Norway’s Deputy Foreign Minister Andreas Motzfeldt Kravik, where both sides exchanged views on the evolving regional and international situation.
During the meeting, Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s long-standing policy of promoting dialogue and engagement as the preferred path for peace, stability, and conflict resolution in the region and beyond.
The Norwegian deputy foreign minister appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic role and reaffirmed Oslo’s continued support for efforts aimed at peaceful and lasting solutions to regional disputes.
Both officials also reviewed opportunities to further strengthen bilateral relations, with a focus on expanding cooperation in areas of shared interest.
On the occasion, Kravik conveyed an invitation from Norway’s foreign minister for Deputy Prime Minister Dar to participate in the upcoming Oslo Forum scheduled for next month. The invitation was warmly welcomed by the Pakistani side.
The two leaders agreed to maintain close communication in the future on bilateral matters as well as broader issues related to regional peace, stability, and development cooperation.
