Soldier martyred, 14 terrorists killed in Balochistan IBO: ISPR

Rawalpindi : Security forces killed 14 terrorists in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Naal area of Basima district, Balochistan, the military’s media wing said on Tuesday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), intelligence reports indicated the presence of militants linked to an Indian proxy network, referred to as “Fitna al Hindustan,” who were allegedly planning attacks on a police station and banks in the area.

The ISPR stated that following the information, security forces launched a swift intelligence-based operation to foil the planned attacks.

During the operation, troops effectively engaged the terrorists, and after an intense exchange of fire, 14 militants were killed while several others were injured.

The statement added that four vehicles used by the terrorists, along with improvised explosive devices (IEDs), were also destroyed on the spot.

It further said that sanitization operations are underway to clear the area of any remaining militants.

Reaffirming its commitment, the ISPR said the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam” will continue with full force to eliminate terrorism from the country.
