Skardu: Tourists stranded between Skardu and Deosai due to recent heavy rainfall and landslides were safely evacuated by the Pakistan Army through a prompt rescue operation. The rescued tourists expressed their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation for the Army’s swift and professional response.
One female tourist shared her experience:
“We came from Karachi to visit Skardu. Suddenly, a flash flood hit us at Deosai, and our vehicles got stuck in the water. I also fell seriously ill, but thanks to Allah and the Pakistan Army, we were rescued immediately.”
According to the tourists, they were airlifted to safety by an Army helicopter and were provided with medical care and food at the rescue site.
“The way the Army assisted us with such professionalism is truly unforgettable.”
The same tourist added:
“Words cannot express how the Pakistan Army handled the emergency. We are fully confident that in any crisis, the Army will always stand by the people.”
It is worth noting that rescue and relief operations are still ongoing in the affected areas of Skardu and Deosai, with authorities continuously monitoring the situation.
