Multan : Renowned educationist and political leader Mian Aamir Mehmood, while addressing a seminar in Multan, said that Pakistan’s federal government is being run from the center, and Punjab, being the country’s largest province, has a population of nearly 130 million.
He remarked that if Punjab were an independent country, it would rank as the 13th most populous nation in the world.
Expressing concern over the situation in Balochistan, Mian Aamir highlighted that the lack of welfare projects in the province has worsened conditions, stressing the need for urgent solutions.
He also pointed out the imbalance in national development, stating that Pakistan has focused its growth on only five major cities, while other regions have been left behind.
Speaking on environmental issues, he noted that modern monitoring equipment has been installed in Punjab to improve air quality, describing it as a positive step towards environmental protection.
