PCB Confirms Only One Change in Selection Committee

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced that the national selection committee remains unchanged, except for one adjustment in the support team.

The only change involves the replacement of the data analyst, while the core structure of the selection panel stays intact.

This clarification was issued to address recent speculation about possible changes within the committee.

New Data Analyst Appointed

Hassan Cheema, the former data analyst, has been replaced by Usman Hashmi.

The PCB emphasized that the role of the data analyst is purely advisory and holds no voting power in squad decisions.

Hashmi will be responsible for providing data-driven insights to support the selection process but will not influence final selections.

Committee Composition Remains the Same

The current selection committee members include Aqib Javed, Aleem Dar, Asad Shafiq, and Azhar Ali.

According to the PCB, the committee must consult with the head coach and the captain of the relevant format before finalizing any team.

The board reaffirmed that the integrity of the selection process remains a priority and that no further structural changes are planned at this time.
