ISLAMABAD: The nation mourns and salutes Major Syed Moiz Abbas Shah, who embraced martyrdom while leading an operation against Indian-sponsored terrorists in South Waziristan’s Sararogha area.
His funeral prayers were offered with full military honors at Chaklala Garrison, Rawalpindi.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and senior civil and military officers were present to pay their respects.
The 37-year-old officer’s body was later taken to his hometown, Chakwal, for burial.
A Symbol of Bravery and Patriotism
“Major Moiz fought bravely in the face of danger and laid down his life upholding the highest traditions of valor,” said COAS Munir.
“The entire nation stands proud of his sacrifice. The blood of our Shuhada is the foundation of our nation’s strength.”
He added that the military remains fully committed to defeating terrorism and honoring those who defend Pakistan with their lives.
Victory Against Terrorism in Sararogha
A day before the funeral, Pakistan’s forces killed 11 Indian-sponsored terrorists and injured 7 in a successful intelligence-based operation.
Major Moiz and Lance Naik Jibran Ullah were martyred during the intense exchange of fire.
Security forces vowed to continue their mission of eliminating terrorism and safeguarding national sovereignty.
