ISLAMABAD: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti vowed to uphold law and order in the province while announcing key development initiatives during the provincial budget session.
CM Bugti made it clear that instability will no longer be tolerated, and emphasized that peace and progress are essential for Balochistan’s future.
He announced a Rs 2 billion cultural fund and the introduction of a pink bus service dedicated to women in Quetta.
The government also plans to develop a Fertilizer City and construct wheat storage facilities in Chaman, Chagai, Gwadar, and Turbat.
PSDP Reforms to Target Youth Welfare
Addressing concerns over the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), the chief minister pledged transparency and effectiveness.
He assured the house that the Rs 250 billion PSDP would benefit the province’s youth and emphasized quality over quantity in development projects.
Law and Order to Be Strictly Enforced
Reiterating the government’s focus on security, Bugti stated that 95% of national highways in Balochistan are now open and functional.
He issued a stern warning to those attempting to disrupt public order, declaring, “We will not allow anyone to hijack Balochistan’s path to peace.”
