Islamabad: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has expressed concern over the recent developments along the Pak-Afghan border and called on Afghan authorities to act with restraint and responsibility in the interest of regional peace.
In a statement, Bilawal Bhutto emphasized that the unprovoked actions by Afghan forces are a serious threat to regional stability. He stated that such aggression undermines the collective efforts aimed at achieving mutual prosperity.
While appreciating the professionalism and restraint displayed by Pakistan’s military in responding to the aggression, Bilawal stressed that the priority must remain safeguarding peace and security. He also urged Afghanistan to take decisive action against terrorist groups operating from its soil.
Bilawal reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to a peaceful, stable, and prosperous Afghanistan and called on the Taliban leadership to engage in meaningful and effective dialogue for long-term peace and cooperation.
