Meta rolls out significant enhancements to Facebook algorithms, user features for better content control

California: Meta, the parent organization behind Facebook, has unveiled major updates to its platform’s algorithms and functionalities aimed at empowering users with greater authority over the videos and content they encounter.

Now, Facebook users can mark Reels videos as “Not Interested,” allowing them to flag unwanted content. This addition enables Facebook’s algorithm to deliver content more closely aligned with users’ tastes.

The “Save” functionality has been revamped, enabling users to conveniently bookmark their preferred Reels and posts in a centralized location.

Meta also announced that users’ news feeds will predominantly feature recent videos posted within the past 24 hours. The platform has incorporated AI-driven search recommendations in Facebook Reels to facilitate content discovery on favored subjects.

Moreover, a new “Friend Bubbles” feature has been launched, which lets users observe the posts liked by their friends and send direct messages to them seamlessly.

According to Meta, these updates aim to offer Facebook users a more customized and engaging digital experience.
