Tehran : Iran has clearly stated that if the United States conditions nuclear talks on ending uranium enrichment, Tehran will not participate in such negotiations. Ali Velayati, advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said that talks are not possible with the condition to stop enrichment.
This statement comes at a time when hopes for renewed talks between Iran and the U.S. were emerging, especially after Israeli attacks and a 12-day intense tension. Iran remains committed to continuing its nuclear program for peaceful purposes and refuses to give up its right to enrichment.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman also said that no date, time, or venue has been set yet for any meeting between Iran and the U.S.
