Bondi Beach Attack: Police reveal details of the planning

Sydney: Australian police have revealed that before the shooting at Bondi Beach Park, the attackers attempted to throw homemade bombs at the crowd; however, the bombs failed to detonate.

The incident resulted in the deaths of 15 people, with dozens more injured. According to the police, the attacker Sajid Akram was killed, and his son, Naveed Akram, has been charged with murder, terrorism, and 59 other offenses.

Court documents indicate that the two suspects had planned the attack months in advance and had conducted a reconnaissance of the park two days before the incident. Police have also seized bomb-making materials and 3D-printed weapon parts from a rented house.

The New South Wales Parliament has called an emergency session, where they are deliberating on weapon laws, terrorism-related restrictions, and regulations concerning public gatherings.
