Peshawar faces growing threat from Kharijites in Tira Valley

Peshawar: The increasing terrorist activities of Kharijites (foreign militants) in the Tira Valley have raised serious security concerns for Peshawar. On November 24, Afghan Kharijites involved in the attack on the Federal Constabulary Headquarters are reported to have arrived in Peshawar from the Tira Valley. Furthermore, on November 25, Kharijites responsible for blowing up a gas pipeline with an IED in Hassan Khel also used the same route to infiltrate the area.

Historically, the Tira Valley has been a stronghold of militants, with figures like Hakimullah Mehsud, a notorious Kharijite leader, establishing their base there. The valley remains a key hub for terrorist activities in the region.
