Belarusian interior minister calls on PM Shehbaz, bilateral cooperation in multiple sectors discussed

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed Belarus Interior Minister Evgeny Kobrakov and his delegation in Islamabad, where both sides engaged in detailed discussions to deepen cooperation across multiple sectors.

Expressing optimism about the growing camaraderie between Pakistan and Belarus, Prime Minister Sharif conveyed warm regards to Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and expressed eagerness for his anticipated visit to Pakistan.

Minister Kobrakov thanked Pakistani officials for their gracious reception and underscored the mutual interest in enhancing collaboration, particularly in agriculture, industry, and workforce development.

During the visit, Kobrakov held productive meetings with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Chaudhry Salik Hussain. These discussions paved the way for signing an agreement to facilitate the deployment of skilled Pakistani workers to Belarus, with assurances of comprehensive social and medical benefits.

Furthermore, the Belarusian delegation toured the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to explore potential areas for technological and administrative cooperation.

The meeting also included Federal Ministers Talal Chaudhry and Muhammad Aoun Chaudhry, alongside senior government officials, highlighting the commitment from both nations to strengthen bilateral ties and promote economic growth.

This engagement is expected to open new pathways for enhanced diplomatic and economic relations between Pakistan and Belarus.
