China has issued a sharp response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s call for the evacuation of civilians from Tehran, urging the United States to reduce tensions instead of escalating the Iran-Israel conflict.
Beijing Warns Against Provocation
At a press briefing in Beijing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Gu Jiaquan stated, “Pouring oil on the fire, issuing threats, and increasing pressure will not improve the situation. It will only deepen and widen the conflict in the region.” China criticized Washington’s stance, saying such moves could push the region closer to full-scale war.
Call for De-escalation and Dialogue
China also appealed to global powers to play a constructive role in defusing the growing Iran-Israel tensions. The comments come amid mounting international concern as the Middle East conflict appears to be expanding.
Beijing’s position signals its firm stance on promoting diplomacy over confrontation in one of the world’s most volatile regions.
