ISLAMABAD: Missile strikes between Iran and Israel intensified on Wednesday as their war entered its sixth day, raising fears of deeper international involvement amid growing civilian casualties.
Israel carried out a series of aggressive airstrikes on Iranian military targets, nuclear facilities, and residential areas, killing top Iranian scientists, commanders, and civilians.
These attacks were part of an Israeli military campaign known as “Rising Lion,” aimed at curbing what it calls Tehran’s nuclear ambitions—claims Iran firmly denies, insisting its nuclear programme is purely civilian.
Iran retaliated with fresh missile attacks early Wednesday, launching hypersonic Fattah-1 missiles in what it dubbed the 11th wave of “Operation Honest Promise 3.”
Explosions were reported in Tel Aviv, Tehran, and the nearby city of Karaj.

According to Israeli officials, multiple missile waves were fired from Iran just after midnight.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility and stated that their forces now have “complete control” over Israeli airspace, a claim Israel strongly disputes.
Meanwhile, Israeli authorities issued evacuation warnings to residents near Tehran as a prelude to further airstrikes.
Reports also surfaced from Tasnim that an Israeli Mossad facility in Tel Aviv had been directly targeted.

Trump Warns Iran, Fuels Speculation on U.S. Role
President Donald Trump stirred controversy on social media, declaring “we now have total control of the skies over Iran,” raising questions about potential U.S. involvement in the conflict.
Although he has publicly denied direct military action, Trump warned Iran against targeting American personnel or assets in the region and demanded Tehran’s “unconditional surrender.”
Civilian deaths continue to mount on both sides.
Human rights monitors report at least 585 killed in Iran and 24 in Israel, with thousands more injured.
Large-scale evacuations are underway in both countries.
