ISLAMABAD: Regional tensions have escalated sharply following US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, prompting urgent responses from Gulf nations and European leaders.
Bahrain has advised its citizens and residents to avoid using main roads unless absolutely necessary.
According to a report by Reuters, this measure is intended to ensure that security and emergency services can access key areas without obstruction.
The warning follows heightened regional sensitivity, as Bahrain hosts a major US military base.
EU Calls for De-escalation and Diplomacy
European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas urged all involved parties to step back from further confrontation.
In a statement shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, Kallas emphasized the need for a return to dialogue.
Iran must not be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon, as it would be a threat to international security.
I urge all sides to step back, return to the negotiating table and prevent further escalation.
EU Foreign Ministers will discuss the situation tomorrow.
