Pakistan Shaheens Set for Back-to-Back Tours in England and Australia

ISLAMABAD: In a bid to expose Pakistan’s next generation of cricketers to international conditions, the Pakistan Shaheens are gearing up for a packed overseas schedule that includes tours to England and Australia over the next two months.

According to sources, the Shaheens will first travel to England in July before heading directly to Darwin, Australia, for the Top End T20 Series scheduled from August 14 to 24.

Return to Darwin and Crucial Match Practice

The Shaheens impressed at last year’s Darwin tournament, showcasing their depth and spirit against a mix of regional and international teams.

Their expected return for the second edition reflects the organizers’ confidence in Pakistan’s developmental side and the value of high-level competition in challenging tropical conditions.

The Top End T20 Series is expected to feature four teams, with Nepal already confirming participation.

Darwin’s humid climate and lively pitches provide ideal preparation for players aiming to break into Pakistan’s national T20 setup.

Focused Training Ahead of Dual Tours

Preparations begin with a training camp in Karachi from July 10, involving players selected from the ongoing Skills Development Camp.

The focus will be on fitness, T20 skills, and adaptability, especially for young cricketers expected to step up in the international arena.

The Shaheens program has long been a vital part of Pakistan’s cricket pipeline, but recent years have seen less focus.

The PCB’s renewed commitment—marked by these back-to-back tours—signals a fresh intent to provide consistent, high-quality exposure to emerging talent.

If confirmed, the Shaheens’ participation in the Darwin tournament is expected to draw strong crowds from Australia’s Pakistani diaspora, adding both support and visibility to their journey.

Full squad announcements and tour itineraries will follow soon, but one thing is certain: Pakistan’s future stars are set to sharpen their skills on foreign soil.
