Kashmore: The recent monsoon rains have led to a significant rise in water levels at the Guddu Barrage on the Indus River, resulting in a moderate flood warning issued by the Irrigation Department. Latest figures show an inflow of 355,283 cusecs and an outflow of 315,558 cusecs, with a 24-hour increase of 13,190 cusecs. Further increases are expected over the next two days.
Heavy rainfall is also affecting several other regions, including Lahore, Okara, Bahawalnagar, and Minchinabad, causing waterlogging in low-lying neighborhoods. The Meteorological Department has predicted continued rain across Islamabad, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Officials have advised residents in flood-prone areas to remain vigilant and follow safety guidelines.
