Major Operation in Kohistan Corruption Case: Luxury Cars, Gold, and Billions Worth of Properties Seized by NAB

islamabad:The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has launched a significant crackdown in the Kohistan corruption scandal, uncovering assets worth billions of rupees including luxury vehicles, gold, and cash.

NAB has upgraded its inquiry into the Kohistan corruption scandal into a full-fledged investigation.

New revelations in the case have exposed prominent names involved in the scandal.

Contractor Muhammad Ayub has been arrested; during interrogation, deals with influential figures including Azam Swati have been uncovered.

Assets worth 2.5 billion rupees have been recovered and frozen during the operation.

More than 100 million rupees in cash, foreign currency, and 3 kilograms of gold have been seized.

A total of 73 bank accounts have been frozen, from which 500 million rupees have been recovered.

Seventy-seven luxury vehicles have been confiscated, including new models of Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Porsche, Lexus, Revo, Mark X, Land Cruiser, and Fortuner, with a total value exceeding 940 million rupees.

NAB has also taken possession of 30 residential houses, 25 flats, 12 commercial plazas, 12 shops, and 4 farmhouses.

The seized properties include penthouses and 175 kanals of agricultural land.

In total, 109 properties have been seized across Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Peshawar, Abbottabad, and Mansehra.

The overall value of confiscated assets is estimated to be more than 1.7 billion rupees
