CM Maryam Nawaz attributes Punjab’s progress criticism tojealousy, pledges growth inspired by Sharifs

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz stated that criticism of Punjab’s development is actually rooted in jealousy. She said, “If the Chief Minister of Punjab herself does not speak for Punjab, then who will?”

Speaking at an event, Maryam Nawaz expressed her desire for Sindh, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to become as clean and developed as Punjab. However, she added that if the people in those provinces feel deprived, they should question their own governments.

She strongly criticized the previous government, saying, “During the era of Gogi Pinky, the streets of Punjab were filled with garbage heaps, whereas today the Prime Minister himself praises Punjab’s development projects.”

The Chief Minister said that whatever she is doing, she has learned from Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif, and under their guidance, she is determined to take Punjab’s progress even further.
