London: Doctors Decide on Surgery for Arshad Nadeem’s Left Ankle

 

Lahore: Pakistan’s Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem underwent a checkup of his left ankle in London, after which doctors decided to perform surgery. Dr. Ali Bajwa from Cambridge Hospital stated that Arshad’s ankle has been examined and surgery will be carried out, followed by rehabilitation.

Due to a strain in his ankle, Arshad had to withdraw from the competition scheduled in Poland next month. His new target is to participate in the Diamond League scheduled in Switzerland in the third week of August. Following that, he will compete in the Tokyo World Athletics Championship starting from September 13.

Dr. Ali Bajwa expressed confidence that, after complete rehabilitation, Arshad Nadeem will soon return to the field with his characteristic passion and vigor, God willing.
