OpenAI’s Sora app brings realistic AI video creation to android devices

California: OpenAI has officially rolled out its highly anticipated Sora AI Video app for Android users, following its successful debut on iOS just a few weeks ago. Within the first five days of its iOS release, the app amassed over 1 million downloads, showcasing its immediate popularity.

The Sora app has quickly surpassed ChatGPT’s mobile app in terms of popularity and is expected to perform similarly well on the Google Play Store. The app’s advanced AI-driven audio and video generation technology allows users to create lifelike and authentic videos, with the introduction of the latest Sora 2 video generation model enhancing the overall experience.

The app features a feed similar to TikTok’s, where users can explore AI-generated videos shared by others. Additionally, the Camo Tool lets users star in their own videos, adding a personal touch to their creations.

Initially launched as invite-only, the Sora app is now available to everyone for a limited time. Initially, it will be accessible to Android users in the U.S., Canada, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam, with plans to expand to additional regions in the near future. Users can provide personalized prompts to create their own AI-generated videos, which can then be shared on the app’s feed.
