YouTube introduces “Recap” feature to review yearly viewing trends

California:  YouTube has launched a new feature called “Recap,” allowing users to review details of the videos, channels, and topics they’ve watched throughout the year. Modeled after the story-style format found on social media apps, this feature includes 12 different cards that users can click to explore their favorite content.

The “Recap” feature will be available in the YouTube app. To access it, users will need to click the “You” tab at the bottom of the app. If your recap is ready, a banner will appear at the top. Additionally, users can visit www.youtube.com/recap to view their recap, but it will only be available if YouTube has prepared it for them.

If you have listened to at least 10 hours of music throughout the year, your recap will also include a summary of your musical activity, allowing you to revisit your favorite music videos and tracks.

However, this feature will not be available globally and will only reach users in select regions. Furthermore, it will not be available on children’s YouTube accounts.

YouTube’s “Recap” feature offers users a fun way to review their favorite content from the past year, enabling them to rediscover videos, channels, and trending topics they enjoyed.
