Islamabad: Twenty-eight more Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members of the National Assembly have resigned from their standing committees, bringing the total number of resignations to 47.
According to sources, the resignations have been submitted to the office of the Speaker of the National Assembly. Additionally, six PTI members have announced their resignation from the chairmanships of standing committees.
The members who resigned from committee chairmanships include Junaid Akbar, Amir Dogar, Sanaullah Mastikhel, Dr. Ziauddin, Javed Iqbal, and Haji Imtiaz Ahmad.
Party sources stated that these resignations are part of a protest against the current political situation and that PTI has declared its intention to continue its political struggle.
