Trump announces major US combat operations in Iran, tells Tehran forces to surrender or face “certain death”

Washington : President Donald Trump announced that the United States has begun extensive military strikes against Iran, describing the move as a necessary step to shield American citizens from what he called immediate security threats.

In a televised message, Trump asserted that Tehran would never be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon. He accused Iranian authorities of attempting to restore their nuclear capabilities despite public assurances otherwise and raised concerns about the country’s progress in developing long-range missile systems that could potentially target US territory.

The US president said American forces are focused on crippling Iran’s missile infrastructure and naval power. He acknowledged that the operation could lead to American casualties but maintained that the action was essential for national security.

Addressing members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, Trump urged them to surrender their weapons, offering immunity to those who comply while warning of severe consequences for those who resist.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that Israel is coordinating with Washington in the military campaign. He described the joint action as aimed at countering what he labeled a serious threat from Iran and said the broader objective is to create conditions that would allow the Iranian people to decide their own future.

The joint US-Israeli operations represent a significant intensification of tensions in the Middle East, fueling concerns about the possibility of a wider regional conflict.
