Washington (Web Desk): US President Donald Trump addressed the escalating situation in the Middle East, sharing remarks on Iran and ongoing diplomatic efforts.
President Trump stated that Iran is seeking a deal, and negotiations are underway, with a tangible outcome expected in the near future. However, he noted that the strategically important Strait of Hormuz has become a point of leverage for Iran.
Referring to “Operation Midnight Hammer,” Trump said Iran has continued to advance its nuclear program. He warned that if Iran possessed a nuclear weapon, it could have targeted Israel.
While no direct Iranian attacks are expected, he asserted that the country is no longer capable of threatening or harassing any nation in the region.
Criticizing NATO, Trump called the alliance a “paper tiger,” claiming it made a serious error by not supporting the US during difficult times and cautioning that such inaction could have long-term consequences.
He emphasized that US strategic measures have now neutralized Iran’s ability to pose a threat to Middle Eastern nations. The president also highlighted that ongoing negotiations aim to achieve a deal that will promote long-term regional peace while protecting American interests.
