WASHINGTON: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is set to hold a meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington, D.C. today, where both sides will discuss the current state of bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international developments.
The agenda of the talks is expected to include expanding cooperation in key areas of mutual interest, along with Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives aimed at encouraging peace and stability across the region through engagement and dialogue.
Officials say the visit underscores Pakistan’s intention to further strengthen its long-standing, multi-dimensional relationship with the United States.
Separately, Ishaq Dar has arrived in Washington, D.C. on an official trip. He was welcomed by Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Rizwan Saeed Sheikh and senior embassy officials upon his arrival.
