Riyadh: Pakistan has reiterated its resolve to further strengthen its longstanding brotherly ties with Saudi Arabia, with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi underscoring the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
The remarks were made during his meeting with Acting Governor of the Makkah Region, Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, in Jeddah.
During the discussion, Naqvi expressed Pakistan’s appreciation for the outstanding arrangements made by the Saudi authorities for Umrah and Hajj pilgrims. He praised the Kingdom’s efforts to ensure that millions of worshippers were able to perform their religious obligations in a safe, organised and comfortable environment.
The interior minister also acknowledged Saudi Arabia’s continued support for Pakistani pilgrims, describing the services and facilities provided during the pilgrimage season as exemplary.
Prince Saud bin Mishaal reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to its close relationship with Pakistan, emphasising that the friendship between the two countries remains of great importance. He assured the Pakistani side of Saudi Arabia’s continued cooperation and unwavering support in further strengthening bilateral relations.
The meeting reflected the shared desire of both countries to deepen their longstanding partnership and maintain close coordination on issues of mutual interest.
