“Try Us”: CM Gandapur Stands His Ground Amid Power Struggles

ISLAMABAD – In a moment charged with political defiance, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur delivered a pointed message to the country’s undisclosed power brokers: the PTI-led provincial government is not going anywhere — unless removed by the constitution, not coercion.

Addressing journalists during an impassioned press conference at KP House, Gandapur dared anyone plotting political disruption to come forward — but warned that KP is not a battleground to be hijacked through intimidation.

“Let’s be clear — if you have the numbers, bring a no-confidence motion. If not, don’t try to manufacture a crisis through pressure or threats,” Gandapur declared, flanked by top PTI figures.

He claimed that May 9 was never about riots or violence — but about removing PTI’s founder from the national narrative.

“I was personally pushed to speak against him,” he revealed. “This wasn’t about justice; it was about erasing the movement.”

Unity and Resistance

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar backed the CM’s stance, saying the party had no personal animosity towards any institution but demanded that democratic outcomes be respected.

“This is not about revenge — it’s about principle. If someone wants to test their strength in KP, let them come through the Assembly, not through backdoor deals,” Gohar added.

Party Secretary General Salman Akram Raja echoed the sentiment, stating the resistance is not just political, but moral.

“They told us to move on — but how do you move on when your vote, your voice, is nullified?”

The PTI leadership’s tone was unmistakably clear: their fight isn’t just for power, but for the preservation of what they call the public mandate. And in Gandapur’s words, “We won’t bow — we’ll stand.”
