Pakistan Navy successfully conducts test-firing of ‘Taimoor’ air-launched cruise missile

Rawalpindi: Pakistan Navy has successfully conducted a live firing test of the Taimoor air-launched cruise missile, an indigenously developed anti-ship weapon system, in what officials described as a demonstration of operational preparedness and precision strike capability, according to the military’s media wing on Tuesday.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the missile accurately completed its designated mission, confirming the Navy’s capability to identify, track, and engage maritime threats at long distances with high precision.

According to the statement, the trial reflects a significant advancement in Pakistan’s defence capabilities and enhances the armed forces’ integrated strike potential within conventional warfare domains.

The Pakistan Navy reiterated its commitment to protecting the country’s maritime borders and safeguarding national sea-based interests.

Following the successful test, the President, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Defence Forces, and Services Chiefs extended their congratulations to the scientists and engineers involved in the development and execution of the system.
