Rawalpindi: A grand passing out ceremony was held at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul on Saturday for cadets of the 153rd PMA Long Course, 38th Technical Graduate Course, 72nd Integrated Course, 15th Mujahid Course, and 27th Lady Cadet Course.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), cadets from friendly countries including Iraq, Maldives, Mali, Nepal, Palestine, Qatar, and Sri Lanka also completed their training and graduated alongside Pakistani cadets.
The Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, attended the event as the chief guest and reviewed the parade. He also presented awards to cadets who demonstrated outstanding performance.
The Sword of Honour was awarded to Academy Senior Under Officer Bilal Nasim of the 153rd PMA Long Course, while the President’s Gold Medal was given to Battalion Senior Under Officer Muhammad Saad Musa from the same course.
The Chief of Defence Forces Overseas Gold Medal was awarded to Nepal’s Senior Under Officer Pobin Kunwar.
The Marksman Medal went to Gentleman Cadet Masood Ur Rehman.
The Chief of Army Staff Cane was awarded to Course Under Officer Haider Bin Abid of the 38th Technical Graduate Course and Sergeant Pir Muhammad Abdullah Shah of the 15th Mujahid Course.
Commandant’s Canes were awarded to Course Under Officer Ali Bin Waqar (72nd Integrated Course) and Course Under Officer Walia Zeb (27th Lady Cadet Course).
