Islamabad : The Meteorological Department has forecasted thunderstorms accompanied by rain in several parts of the country. While most areas are expected to remain dry and hot, isolated heavy rains with strong winds and thunder are likely in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeastern Punjab, Potohar region, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Specifically, heavy rain is expected in some areas of northeastern Punjab, Kashmir, and hilly regions. Rain is also likely in Islamabad and its surrounding areas.
Rain is predicted in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, Lahore, Sargodha, Khushab, Sialkot, Narowal, Kasur, Hafizabad, Faisalabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, and Gujranwala. Additionally, Peshawar, Swat, Kohat, Mardan, Dir, Chitral, Bannu, Bajaur, Abbottabad, Sawabi, and Mansehra may also experience rainfall.
The weather in southern parts of Balochistan is expected to be partly cloudy, while most districts of Sindh are likely to remain hot and dry.
In the past 24 hours, most parts of the country remained dry and warm. Coastal areas experienced partial cloudiness, and isolated thunderstorms with rain occurred in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and hilly areas. Light rain was also recorded in Karachi during this period.
