Asif Ali Zardari to address growing differences with PML-N in Punjab

Lahore: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari has decided to raise the growing differences with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in Punjab with the relevant party circles. During a party meeting, dissatisfaction was expressed regarding the behavior of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, and a proposal was made to consider sitting on the opposition benches.

Sources reveal that PPP leaders emphasized that if a partnership in government is no longer feasible, the party should consider joining the opposition, particularly in Punjab. They also expressed concern over Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s weak governance.

President Zardari, maintaining the party’s consistent policy, requested a one-month period to resolve the matters politically. PPP’s parliamentary leader in Punjab, Ali Haider Gilani, stated that Zardari would soon meet with Nawaz Sharif to highlight the issues of disagreement.

Zardari also referenced the country’s border challenges, urging for political unity, and stressed that national interests should take precedence over personal differences.
