Rawalpindi: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir emphasized that Pakistan’s national security takes precedence over all else, and assured that the Pakistan Army will continue full cooperation with both federal and provincial governments. He was speaking to participants of the National Security Workshop at the General Headquarters (GHQ).
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the workshop participants were briefed in detail about Pakistan’s regional situation, internal security challenges, cross-border terrorism, and hybrid threats. The session also covered issues such as smuggling, drug eradication efforts, actions against organized crime, and the repatriation of foreign nationals.
Field Marshal Asim Munir told the participants, “Despite the evolving situation in the region and geopolitical challenges, Pakistan’s interests will be safeguarded at all costs.” He emphasized that ensuring the safety of every citizen is the army’s top priority, and Pakistan’s territorial integrity will not be compromised at any cost.
He further assured that the Pakistan Army, intelligence agencies, and other security forces are combating all threats with their professional capabilities. Field Marshal Munir remarked that Pakistan is an important country that is steadily asserting its rightful position in the world.
Additionally, he stressed the importance of national unity, stating, “Pakistan’s true strength lies in its national cohesion, and the adversary’s plans will be thwarted by the collective resolve of the nation and its institutions.” He underscored that close collaboration between institutions is essential for sustainable peace and development.
