Trump warns of tough action against Iran, targets energy infrastructure

Washington : US President Donald Trump has reportedly issued a strong warning to Iran, claiming that the United States is prepared to carry out major military action and could eventually gain control over key Iranian oil and gas assets.

In a message shared on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump alleged that Iran’s military strength, including its naval forces, air force, radar network, and broader defense capabilities, has been severely diminished.

He further suggested that Washington may target strategic energy facilities in Iran, including installations on Kharg Island and other vital oil and gas sites, with the aim of expanding its influence over the country’s energy resources.

The statement also indicated that Iran could face intense military strikes in the near future, although no official confirmation of such plans has been issued by US authorities or verified by independent sources.

Drawing a comparison with Venezuela, Trump claimed that the United States had previously pursued a similar approach there, describing the outcome as beneficial for both nations.

The remarks come at a time of heightened regional tensions, though the authenticity and accuracy of the claims have not been independently verified.
