Tilla Gang : A suspected terrorist network involving Afghan nationals has been uncovered in Pakistan. The arrest of an Afghan citizen in Tilla Gang and his confessional statement have revealed details about the network.
The arrested individual, Qasim alias Hassan, told the police that he was originally from the Paktia province of Afghanistan and had moved to Laki Marwat, Pakistan, with his family 10 years ago. He mentioned that in Pakistan, he grew old, earned a living, and established good relations with local people.
According to Qasim, he met Taliban commander Arman at a location called Sarh Durga earlier this year, who persuaded him to join the so-called jihad. In his confession, Qasim revealed that after spending just 20 days in the organization, the commander instructed him to carry out a suicide attack.
Local authorities have stated that investigations are underway with the help of the arrested Afghan citizen to track down other members of the network, and legal action will be taken as per the law.
