Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif paid rich tribute to Major Raja Aziz Bhatti Shaheed, the hero of the 1965 war and recipient of the Nishan-e-Haider, on his martyrdom anniversary. She said that the nation will never forget the sacrifices of its martyrs.
In her message, the Chief Minister stated:
“Those who lay down their lives for the motherland are our real heroes. Major Aziz Bhatti Shaheed wrote history with his courage and sacrifice. His bravery will remain a guiding light for future generations.”
Maryam Nawaz added that Pakistan’s freedom and security today are the result of the sacrifices made by such valiant sons of the soil, and the entire nation salutes these great sacrifices.
It is worth noting that Major Aziz Bhatti Shaheed played a pivotal role in repelling enemy attacks on the Lahore front during the 1965 war. He embraced martyrdom on September 12, 1965, while serving on the front lines. In recognition of his unmatched bravery, he was awarded the country’s highest military honor, Nishan-e-Haider.
