Islamabad: The Ministry of Information Technology has launched reforms in the national cybersecurity framework, aimed at strengthening the country’s cybersecurity posture. As part of this initiative, the government has enlisted the services of an international consultancy firm to conduct security audits of key government and private institutions.
According to sources, the new framework will incorporate the Zero Trust model, modern defense systems, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and quantum technologies.
The government is also considering the introduction of training programs for public sector employees, along with cybersecurity diploma and degree programs in educational institutions. Additionally, practical cybersecurity exercises and simulations are being planned to enhance readiness.
