ISLAMABAD: Iran’s Minister of Intelligence, Esmail Khatib, announced that a large collection of sensitive Israeli documents obtained by Tehran will be unveiled soon.
He described these documents as a “treasure trove” that will enhance Iran’s offensive capabilities.
According to Iranian state media, the files include information on Israel’s nuclear facilities, its relations with the United States, Europe, and other countries, as well as its defensive systems.
Details on the Document Leak
Khatib revealed that transferring the documents took significant time and involved strict security measures.
He confirmed the volume of material is massive, stating that calling it “thousands of documents” would be an understatement.
No official response has come from Israel regarding the breach so far.
It remains unclear whether this leak is connected to a reported hacking of an Israeli nuclear research center last year, which Iran is now disclosing amid growing tensions over its nuclear program.
Regional Tensions and Nuclear Dispute
The revelation adds to ongoing regional tension surrounding Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
In 2018, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed Israeli agents had seized a large archive of Iranian documents revealing nuclear work beyond public knowledge.
Meanwhile, US leadership has taken a hard stance on Iran’s nuclear program, with threats of military action if negotiations fail.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei recently rejected the idea of stopping uranium enrichment, calling it entirely against Iran’s interests.
Western nations accuse Iran of enriching uranium to near weapons-grade levels, while Iran maintains it does not seek nuclear weapons.
