ISLAMABAD: A senior Pakistani delegation has informed United Nations Security Council (UNSC) members of India’s alleged destabilizing actions in South Asia.
The delegation, made up of diplomats and former ministers, warned that India’s steps in Jammu and Kashmir and its rhetoric towards Pakistan threaten both regional and international peace.

Pakistan Warns Against Escalation
The Pakistani representatives claimed that India’s recent policies—including changes in Kashmir’s demographic structure and rejection of UN resolutions—violate international norms. Ambassador Munir Akram stated that such acts are provocative and could lead to serious conflict if left unchecked.

The delegation underscored Pakistan’s readiness for peace but also reiterated its firm stance on safeguarding sovereignty.
Global Community Urged to Intervene
According to diplomatic sources, some UNSC members acknowledged the risks of further escalation and echoed calls for dialogue.
Though no formal resolution was passed, the session was seen as an opportunity to revive international discussions on Kashmir.
