ISLAMABAD: Mr. Rashid Ashraf, CEO of ACE Money Transfer, held high-level meetings with senior Pakistani ministers to discuss advancing the country’s financial infrastructure and increasing formal remittance flows.
The talks focused on creating incentive programs to encourage overseas Pakistanis to remit funds through official channels, aiming to raise annual remittances to USD 50 billion within five years.
Mr. Ashraf emphasized the importance of collaboration among banks, exchange houses, and financial institutions to develop a unified digital framework that reduces informal cash transfers and enhances the domestic economy.
Strategic Discussions on Public Awareness and Economic Integration
In discussions with the Information and Broadcasting Minister, Mr. Attaullah Tarar, the focus was on raising public awareness about the benefits of legal remittances.
ACE offered its technological expertise in data governance, real-time consumer insights, and merchant network expansion to support the Prime Minister’s digitization agenda.
These efforts aim to promote informed, data-driven policymaking for Pakistan’s economic growth.
Engagement with Overseas Pakistanis Ministry
Further consultations with the Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis, Mr. Salik Hussain, and
Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Ihsan ul Haq Bajwa highlighted formalizing undocumented migration and improving the arrival experience for overseas Pakistanis.
Plans were discussed for state-led recognition initiatives honoring overseas Pakistanis contributing significantly to national development.
Mr. Ashraf concluded by reaffirming ACE’s commitment to supporting Pakistan’s financial inclusion, digitization, and economic resilience.
