WhatsApp introduces new storage management deature to solve storage issues for users

California:  WhatsApp continues to roll out new features to enhance the user experience, and its latest feature aims to tackle the common issue of phone storage. The new “Storage Management” feature is designed to prevent images, videos, and other media files received on WhatsApp from taking up unnecessary space on your phone.

With WhatsApp users receiving a large volume of content daily, storage problems often become a source of frustration. However, this new feature promises to address that issue effectively.

Currently in beta testing for both Android and iOS, the “Storage Management” feature will allow users to go to each chat’s information page and decide which media files from contacts should be saved on the phone and which should not. This will make it easier for users to delete or star large and old files.

New options like “Newest” (for recent files), “Oldest” (for older files), and “Largest” (for the largest files) will also be available for users to quickly search and find files they want to delete or save. Additionally, users will be able to delete multiple files at once, streamlining the process of cleaning up phone storage.

As this feature is still in beta, it’s unclear when it will be available to all users. However, based on WhatsApp’s updates, it’s expected that this feature will soon be rolled out to the general public.

This new addition could be a game-changer for WhatsApp users struggling with storage issues, allowing them to manage their media files more efficiently.
