Minab/Tehran : The ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel has taken a devastating turn as civilian lives are claimed in a tragic attack.
According to local reports, the Israeli Air Force conducted an airstrike on a girls’ high school in the city of Minab, located in southern Iran. The strike resulted in the deaths of at least 24 female students, all of whom were attending classes at the time of the attack. Officials warn that the casualty number could rise as rescue and recovery efforts continue.
Eyewitnesses stated that the school was fully occupied when the bombs struck, with both students and teachers present, underscoring the severe human cost of the ongoing hostilities. Emergency services rushed to the scene, though access was hampered by the destruction caused by the airstrike.
The attack marks a serious escalation in the Iran-Israel conflict and highlights the risks faced by civilians, particularly children, in areas affected by military operations. Iranian authorities strongly condemned the bombing, describing it as a deliberate attack on innocent students and promising a firm response.
International observers and human rights organizations have expressed grave concern over the targeting of educational institutions and have called for urgent measures to protect civilians. The incident has drawn renewed attention to the growing humanitarian crisis in the region, with fears that such attacks may further escalate the cycle of violence.
