Lahore: The ninth spell of monsoon rains is set to begin in Punjab, prompting the Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) to issue a weather alert due to the forecast of heavy downpours.
According to the PDMA spokesperson, from August 29 to September 2, several districts across the province are expected to experience intense rainfall. Areas likely to be affected include Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujranwala, Lahore, Gujrat, and Sialkot. Similarly, heavy rains are also forecasted in southern Punjab districts such as Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, and Rajanpur.
